I am an artist and I love photography. Explaining myself doesn’t get any easier than that.
I moved to Wyoming in 2016, in large part due to my love of photographing the great outdoors. Wyoming is one of the most beautiful of the western states, in my opinion, second only to its northern neighbor, Montana. If you see me out exploring, you’re also likely to meet my dogs, Stella and Bella. Stella is an Aussie/Border Collie who is too smart for her own good (aren’t they all!). Bella was a little stray I picked up along the highway in Arizona in 2015. Corgi mixed with something. And no, I did not intend for their names to rhyme. It just worked out that way. 🙂
I purchased my first film camera, a Pentax K1000, in high school. I still have it, along with my grandmother’s Brownie. Currently I shoot with a Nikon D3300. I often use the 18-55mm kit lens, but am enjoying experimenting with a recently acquired 55-300mm, and a 200-500mm for shooting wildlife. All are Nikkor AFS lenses. I also use a SLIK U9000 tripod, and a Samsung HMX-F90 for messing around with video. But I’ve recently discovered my D3300 takes superb video, so we’ll see which gets the most use from here on out. The Samsung has a 10X zoom, and I often can’t – or don’t want to – get that close to my subjects.
My site is a compilation of galleries. If you’re interested in making a purchase, please contact me via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
And, it’s not always about nature and wildlife. I didn’t get a degree in Anthropology for nothing! I’ve always been fascinated by culture, and hope to soon add to my portfolio work in portraiture, street photography, and travel. Stay tuned.
Thanks for stopping by, and please take a moment to say hello. I hope I’ll see you here again soon.
